Sunday So Far...
Under a scorching London sun Hard Rock Rising winners, The Carnabys, opened proceedings on the Main Stage. Their cover of The Rolling Stones’ ‘Gimme Shelter’ was the perfect way to get the crowd started. Next to follow was a set full of Deaf Havana goodness – who had spotfire moshes when they thrashed out ‘Little White Lies’.
Zac Brown Band brought a touch of rock-a-billy to the main stage and had the crowd up and about for ‘Chicken Fried’ and singing along to ‘Jump Right In’. They paid homage to British rock with their rendition Led Zeppelin’s ‘Kashmir’; and put their southern touch on the English classic.
Lonely The Brave and Crowns got Sunday underway on the Pepsi Max and Hard Rock Rising stages respectively. The Flamin Groovies delivered their infectious style of rock n roll, pleasing the pundits with cult classics ‘Slow Death’ and ‘You Tore Me Down’.
We also saw some great sets from The Temperance Movement, Mayer Hawthorne, Stewart Mac and Bruno Major.
As the day heats up, anticipation is high for what's to follow!
